Rocking Texas Blues

It is said that music soothes the savage beast; maybe that’s why I love it so much. Growing up in Galveston, Texas wasn’t easy for a poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks. Mom tried, but after my Dad left her with 2 young boys it seemed there never was enough money, for food, clothes, rent. But we had a radio, we couldn’t afford a television, so we had music. Even if I couldn’t remember my multiplication tables, or who was president when and what he did, if I heard a song two or three times I knew every word. Looking back I realize that music was my escape from the hard times we faced as a family, in many ways it still is. So it’s my hope that the music we bring to you will make you as happy when you hear it as it made me to make it.
